Bloody Besties: True Crime Podcast

Valentine’s Victories

Ruby Wilde and Melissa Mae Season 1 Episode 18

How long does it take to close a case? As you know from last week’s episode, some cases may never be solved, but this week, we give you closure. It may have taken years, but justice has been found for these victims. You will hear about the murder of Terri McAdams and how they were unable to find her killer before he struck again with the murders of Denise Sharp and her best friend Debra DeLaTorre. A Jane Doe got her identity back when it was discovered that she was Wanda Deann Kirkum and again you find out what happened to her killer. Jodine Elizabeth Serrin’s family got closure, even if the man was already dead and could not serve his prison sentence. Ignacia Manriquez found her justice after 17 years when her killer was caught in Mexico. And finally a Valentine’s Day dance was the beginning of the end for Carla Walker, but thanks to efforts by Paul Holes, her killer was found and sent to prison. This murder lead to the “Carla Walker Act” to make sure there is federal funding for DNA testing in cold cases.
